Fees for therapy

psychologist fees and insurance

My current fee is $250 per 45-minute session. Fees are paid at the beginning of each session. Payment is typically processed by credit card. HSA and FSA cards accepted.

While I’m not currently on any insurance panels, some insurance companies will provide partial reimbursement for out-of-network providers. It’s best to check with your insurance company directly for details about your coverage. If you need to use your insurance to pay for therapy I recommend calling your insurance company and asking for a list of in-network providers. This will save you some time as only about 30 percent of therapists take insurance.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy

Sessions cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled time and not rescheduled in the same calendar week will be charged the fee for the session.

If you have any question about my fees, insurance, or cancellation policy, feel free to reach out to me though my Contact Page.
